He was a featured artist in Coors Light’s national campaign My Climb\, My Music and a featured artist at the Guitar: The Instrument that Rocked the World exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. He participated in the International Guitar Festival in Zihuatanejo\, Mexico. \n\n\n\nBorn in Mexico City\, his early studies on guitar included rock\, jazz & blues. In 2000 he relocated to Los Angeles where he immersed himself in the LA music scene where he got the need to create something unique and more authentic\, launching him to study flamenco guitar in Seville\, Spain. This transition gave El Javi the inspiration to develop his own sound. DESCRIPTION:‘Disenchanted!‘ had its first workshop in 2009 at Pearl Studios in NYC.  Over 700 women auditioned for 11 roles and the 1-night-only event (in which songs from the show were performed without script) played to a sold-out house\, a standing ovation and was immediately extended.  The journey to Off-Broadway began! \n\n\n\nIn 2012\, ‘Disenchanted!‘ had its first Off-Broadway reading at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Playwrights Horizons in NYC.  The songs from the show were also featured in a showcase at Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret Theatre on Restaurant Row that summer.​ \n\n\n\n‘DIS!‘ – as the show is affectionately known for short – opened in a limited-engagement run Off-Broadway in NYC at the Theatre @ St. Clement’s in December of 2014 and then transferred to an open-ended run at the Westside Theatre in 2015. \n\n\n\nThe show played to rave reviews and positive press from the Huffington Post\, New York Times\, NBC-TV\, CBS-TV\, New York Post\, BroadwayBlog\, New York Observer!

DESCRIPTION:Since the early 1990s Laura Love has been driving audiences wild at music festivals and respected venues the world over. It is easy to see why: Laura is not only an astonishing vocalist and inventive songwriter\, she is a sparkling performer with an irrepressible sense of fun and a unique style that is\, well…unique. She is an African-American funk bassist with a deep love of folk\, Americana\, bluegrass\, R&B\, country\, blues and jazz. She loves James Brown almost as much as she loves Jimmy Martin. She grew up listening to Sly and The Family Stone and Loretta Lynn. Her early musical ears were equally influenced by The Jackson Five and The Weavers. Are you getting the picture? We think so. \n\n\n\nLaura is accompanied by the master of country/blues slide and picked guitar\, Orville Johnson. Orville is a well respected multi-instrumentalist and soulful vocalist and has had a long career playing with a variety of great partners such as Mark Graham\, John Cephas\, Woody Mann\, Mike Auldridge\, and Stacy Philips. He has appeared on Prairie Home Companion\, Jay Leno’s Tonight Show and was featured in the 1997 film\, Georgia\, with Mare Winningham. His recordings have been used in the soundtracks of PBS’ Frontier House and the Peter Fonda film\, The Wooly Boys\, as well as the on the compilation CD\, “Legends of the Incredible Lap Steel Guitar”. \n\n\n\nTogether\, Laura and Orville are a powerhouse duo: two big vocals\, exquisite guitar and funky bass. They perform Laura’s originals and a remarkable array of folk\, country\, spirituals\, gospel and blues songs. Some of you might remember these two tearing down the house at Royce Hall as part of the Ash Grove’s 50th anniversary concert a couple years ago. Come help them do the same thing for this Stage Door Concert!

The recipient of the proceeds from this show will be presented to Youth & Family Link to help with their mission to promote positive change in a child and family’s life by engaging and linking them to resources that will result in success in school\, having positive friends\, a healthy home and being involved in positive activities.

DESCRIPTION:Featuring a dozen musicians\, with songs in 25 languages\, Pink Martini performs its multilingual repertoire on concert stages on six continents. After making it’s European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 and its orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 1998\, the band has gone on to play with more than 50 orchestras around the world\, including multiple engagements with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl\, the Boston Pops\, the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center\, the San Francisco Symphony\, the Cleveland Orchestra\, and the BBC Concert Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in London. In 2014\, Pink Martini was inducted into both the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.
