As the “Southern Gateway to Mount St. Helens,” (SR503) Woodland provides excellent options for lodging, restaurants, and service accommodations. Featured activities include hiking, sightseeing, kayaking and mountain biking in the nearby Lewis River Valley; fishing for salmon and steelhead on the north fork of the Lewis River; and golfing at the Lewis River Golf Course.

Home to the renowned Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens, Woodland hosts a Lilac Festival each Spring and Woodland Planters Day each June.

Incorporated in 1906, the City of Woodland, located 20 miles north of Vancouver, Washington, is the southern gateway to Mt. St. Helens. The city is located in both Cowlitz and Clark Counties.
