Go Fourth Festival
Music, Logging Competition, Fireworks and More
The Go Fourth Festival has been a regular tradition since the ‘60s for the community of Longview and the surrounding area. Each year this event, which spans nearly a week during the run-up to the Fourth of July holiday, is enjoyed and experienced by thousands of people.
Go Fourth brings the diverse community together to enjoy the live music, vendor booths and varied food choices.
Go Fourth is well-attended and always has a buzz. Pack up your picnic basket, blankets, and folding chairs and prepare yourself for fun and excitement.
Numerous events are included in this annual festival. The American Lumberman's Association timber sport competition includes three world championship events. There is daily entertainment, a parade and a flea market. Local firefighters sponsor a benefit "hole-in-one" golf competition that draws interest for both the fun and prizes. And one of the largest fireworks displays west of the Mississippi brings down the curtain on this fabulous event after dark on the Fourth.
The festival is self-funded, in part through the sale of Go Fourth buttons that are available in most local stores. The remainder of the funding comes from fees and donations from community sponsors, individuals and businesses.
